Rajesh Prasad, Group Chairman & Co-Founder

Mr. Prasad has had a chequered career spanning over 34 years and he brings with him an excellently blended untitled-2experience from the Financial Services sector as well as Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Sunrise sectors.

Mr. Prasad joined State Bank of India (SBI) as a Probationary Officer and worked for SBI for 25 years both in India and abroad which included postings in Ranchi, Bokaro Steel City/Frankfurt/Delhi/Indore/Nairobi. His last assignment was MD&CEO designate of a Bank SBI was acquiring in Kenya.

In SBI, he was the first few member of Chairman’s Club, a unique distinction given to 13 officials from out of 13000 Branch Heads for displaying outstanding all round performance. He was on  a fast track based on his consistent outstanding performance and swiftly rose to the exclusive pool of SBI’s Top Management.

Mr. Prasad in 2007 moved to Kotak Mahindra Bank and was their Executive Vice President heading the bank’s Wholesale Banking Credit for the entire North and East India.

His specialities in the Financial Sector span from Corporate lending, Infrastructure lending, Turnaround Management, Debt syndication in INR as well as Foreign Currency, Multi-currency long term fund raising, Asset Liability Management, Financial Engineering.

In July 2008, Mr. Prasad was handpicked by Caparo Group, a multi-billion dollar Group promoted by Lord Swraj Paul of UK. Mr. Prasad was the Group’s MD&CEO cum Country Head for over seven years till 30th September, 2015.

During his stint with Caparo, he successfully started a NBFC and built its valuation, was able to strategize the consolidation of 21 multi-locational Caparo group in India not only in the Automobile sector but also in Hospitality, Supply chain, Sunrise sectors and Alternate energy businesses. He was instrumental in inking and nurturing strategic tie-ups and JVs with Maruti Suzuki, Marubeni Itochu, Wartsila, Harrison Spinks, Wade Group, ITC, Procam Logistics, etc. He was also able to incubate businesses of Bio-toilet, e-Auto, Composite construction, Waste to Energy, Solar roof top installation, each having a multi-billion dollar potential. 

Even in downturn, he has been able to positively turn the odds to the benefit of Caparo through sensitizing team for improvisation in systems, processes and preparation to handle the good times ahead. Under his leadership, Caparo Group in India has been able to convert into a diversified, de-risked business conglomerate which is appropriately positioned to unlock its value.

Mr. Prasad was serving on the Board of 16 Caparo companies, including being the Managing Director of two Companies.

Well known as a strategist who believes in improving stakeholders’ value by adopting innovative costing and pricing strategies. He is a firm believer of Lean Management and Frugal Engineering concepts and has worked towards efficient sweating the assets, towards brand building, improving operational efficiency through instilling a cost sensitivity culture, etc. Mr. Prasad is a great motivator of human resources and mentors them well and has excellent relations with OEMs, State Governments, Banks and other stake holders.

After leaving Caparo, he briefly worked for JC Man Group as its Group CEO, a Group having interests in Tubes, Pipes and Infrastructure in India and abroad before turning entrepreneurial.

He has co-founded Amritasa Group and is the Group Chairman.

Mr. Prasad had done his BA Hons and MA from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi, is a Certificated Associate from the Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai, an MBA and has done specialised courses on Money and Financial Market from City University USA. He has been trained extensively in India and abroad.

Profile of Atul Kumar Sinha, Vice Chairman & Co-Founder

 Mr. Sinha has had an excellent career spanning over 25 years and he brings with him an excellently blended Technical as well as Commercial expertise. He initiated his career with Hindustan Motors and found a place in its Corporate Office as part of the Core Strategic Team. During this period, he was part of several prestigious projects viz. Subaru’s India Entry Project, Opel Astra Project in which he was entrusted with the responsibility of leading its indegenisation programme. He supported his team for localisation of vehicle to suit Indian condition. He also led the Group’s association with Ford and was an active member of the collaboration to make engines.

He was shifted from the Corporate Office to Chennai and was an integral part of the HM-Mitsubishi Lancer implementation. With careful nurturing of the supplier fraternity, he was able to achieve 72% indegenisation within a short span of 36 months along with the team, a significant achievement through Vendor Development programme With his affable and simple approach, he was able to play a critical role in the implementation process.

After working for over 12 years with HM/Mitsubishi Lancer, he left the Group in 2002 and joined Caparo Maruti Ltd; a JV between Caparo Group of UK and Maruti Suzuki Ltd. He was responsible for Quality, Green field project and Vendor Development. He worked in several prestigious projects. In 2009, he was shifted to the Corporate Office and was entrusted with the responsibility of setting up a Cost Validation Cell for entire Caparo India. He led this position with distinction. During his tenure he introduced the product costing concept within the Automotive segment of Caparo Group, worked on basket order concept for continuing/exiting from supply relationship, Input-Output Ratio, Price correction initiative with the OEMs. He enjoys excellent relation with all the major OEMs. He was also selected to be Caparo’s front face in its Business Transformation process which the Group undertook with Accenture.

Thereafter during end of 2013, he was chosen to lead Caparo’s foray in e-Vehicle, Composite Houses that are earthquake and flood resistant, Bio-Toilet, Solar, Waste Management. Within a short period of time of under 10 months, he was able to bring these forays into commercial launch state.

Mr. Sinha left Caparo in February 2016 and co-promoted Amritasa Group and is the Group’s Vice Chairman where he will be directly overseeing the Technical Functions and Business Development. He is also the Managing Director of Amritasa Green Pvt. Ltd.

Profile of Mr. V. Jemon, Head R&D Team

Mr. Jemon is heading our R&D Team. Mr. Jemon has 20 years of direct experience with specialisation in PCB Designing, Linear Designing, Digital Designing, Micro-controller programming. Mr. Jemon has worked closely for over a decade with Late Dr. T.K.Saxena, Head of Department of Automation Section of the National Physical Laboratory and has been groomed by him.
Mr. Jemon has an impressive loyal brand in excess of hundred Corporates, spread across different sectors, who have used his technical expertise and developed customised products for them. He is very innovative and is one of the leading players in his domain in the Country.
He leads a team of seven scientists drawn from different sub-verticals.

Profile of Mr. S. K. Sharma, Strategic Marketing

Mr. S.K.Sharma had worked for the Indian Railways in different important positions. He retired from the Indian Railways after putting in 37 years of service. His last posting was in the Railway Board as Additional Member. During his long career, he has held several critical assignments within the Railway Board as well as in the Field. Amongst his critical assignments was the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in Kota, modernisation programme of the Indian railways. A person whose strong HR ability has helped the Indian Railways overcome several IR issues.
He is presently advising several high profile Corporates including the Spanish wagon manufacturing Company Talgo.

Profile of Mr. Vinod Mishra

Mr Mishra has been one of the pioneers in the domain of Bio-toilets and is one of the most experienced persons that we have in the Country in this domain. He is leading the Group’s foray in Bio-toilet. His industry knowledge is widely respected by the key players in the Bio Toilet industry and enjoys huge confidence of Defense Research Development Organisation.

Mr. Mishra has worked for the Escorts Group as well as Omaxe Group and Caparo Group.

He is one of the partners in Amritasa Bio Technology.
